Human Resources Generalist

Foresight Intelligence is seeking a passionate, organized and detail-oriented HR Generalist to assist with Foresight recruitment and HR processes and provide employee support as in-house HR point person. REPORTS TO: Director of Finance

POSITION SUMMARY

Our HR Generalist will perform various HR functions and provide support related to recruitment, employee orientation and onboarding, employee file maintenance, employee offboarding, benefits enrollment / administration, policy development, legal compliance, employee communications and other HR related duties. The Associate will also provide assistance to the Director of Finance with support in the areas of payroll, PTO reporting, insurance billing and various ACA, ERISA and EEO compliance reporting.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Screen resumes, phone screen candidates, administer appropriate assessments and conduct reference checks to provide hiring manager with a viable pool of top candidates. Once screened, schedule interviews with appropriate managers/stakeholders.
  • Using traditional and non-traditional resources, source and entice a qualified pool of both active and passive candidates by conducting searches through creative sourcing techniques including social media, job posting boards, cold-calling, networking, internet mining, trade journal advertising, professional networking sites, job fairs, campus recruiting, etc.
  • Process monthly billings from insurance providers. Review bills for accuracy and send to Finance for payment. Resolve discrepancies with carriers, payroll and the company.
  • Complete reports for management as requested.
  • Conduct new employee orientation and prepare new employee file including collection of appropriate employment and tax documentation, perform E-Verify and maintain company HRIS system; assist company leadership with 30 | 60 | 90-day onboarding tasks and metrics.
  • Act as front line customer service to our employees; respond to employees on daily inquiries, policy and/or benefit matters – research issues, assist with teambuilding event coordination, provide resolution to employee health plan questions and other day to day HR functions.
  • Assist Director of Finance with processing payroll, facilitating any payroll questions / errors, vacation liability reporting and various state enrollments.
  • Administer company benefit plans including enrollments, terminations and ensure plans are administered in accordance with federal, state and local regulations. Process required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record keeping and proper deductions. Coordinate leaves of absence and process claims and requests (WC, STD, LTD). Serve as COBRA Administrator.
  • Serve as company liaison with various insurance providers and foster effective relationships.
  • Work closely with Director of Finance on benefits renewals and cost/benefit analysis of the various benefit plan options.
  • Assist in writing, editing and communicating company policies and procedures and related documents.
  • Research employment law to assist in overall company compliance, record-keeping and reporting as employee counts grow.
  • Additional duties as may be assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications or similar field or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience.
  • Minimum 3 years HR experience.
  • Excellent working knowledge of federal, (various) state and local employment laws.
  • Cultural sensitivity, confidentiality and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • SHRM certification a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong client-service capabilities with thorough follow-up and organizational abilities.
  • Strong knowledge and ability in social media recruiting tactics.
  • Strong ability to interview and screen candidates for functional and cultural fit.
  • Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with all stakeholders.
